With all the war on drugs presently staying waged in the us what sort of away come can be presumed based on the outcome in the prohibition of alcohol in the 1920's? If it is able to identify or anticipate outcomes based upon the closely related forbidance in the 1920's we could possibly save lives from the battle that is strong in many of our backyards.

In my research I was trying to find articles from the 1920's and present day that were closely linked to try to bring ties involving the modern day prohibition of drugs plus the prohibition of alcohol in the 1920's. My primary search methods were both Search and Yahoo scholar.

This resource described commonalities between the Forbidance and the War on Drugs. The author in the resource explains the similarities and differences and provides suggestions as to how to solve the current discord with drugs. The source also provided multiple charts and graphs made up of details on different aspects and outcomes that have occurred during both prohibitions. " A small population group believes that the activity is usually dangerous. -- They make an effort to convince individuals to stop indulging in that activity. -- The folks ignore them. -- That they convince the federal government to pass a law to abolish the activity. -- The folks ignore the rules. -- The people become crooks. -- The folks go to jail -- Persons begin profiting by providing the illegal in order to other people -- People kill each other to shield their profits. -- Even more people head to jail. -- People start asking authorities to think again about its plan. ” This statement shows the collection of situations that took place in the 1920's. If you look at the events that took place almost a century ago after which look at the situations that have been taking place over the last number of years you can see the direct relationship between the two subjects.

This resource is a chart displaying the crime price before, during, and after the prohibition of 1920. Using this graph you can take out that the forbidance of chemicals promotes an even more violent and crime stuffed society. The sale of alcoholic beverages when forbidance began almost doubled and afterwards under no circumstances returned to normalcy. This shows that the forbidance of alcoholic beverages in the early on 1900's got the exact contrary effect while what was intended.

With the total increase in alcoholic beverages use after the prohibition era what is going to happen when the war on drugs comes to an end? If the war on drugs goes on on the route that their going on and continues to looking glass the forbidance of 1920 then it is extremely possible that because it finally extends to an end which the number of consumers of illicit substances can increase...
