This individual chose the qualified skiers and dog handlers for his navigation. Amundsen had cautiously considered each aspects of the journey, thought it through, and planned it appropriately. The result of their journey is successful. On the other side, Jeff brought gas powered vehicles which in turn froze up and stopped working. Scott brought horses that died inside the very cold temperatures. Scott hadn't given enough attention to the team's different equipment and the clothes weren't compatible intended for the freezing temperature inside the South Post. This clarifies the differences about both Amundsen and Jeff preparation as well as its effects.
